About us
A Reformed Baptist church plant in Habersham County
Clarkesville Reformed Baptist Church was planted in 2021 and is, so far as we know, the only Reformed Baptist church in or around Habersham County, Georgia.
Our church
We are a young church plant, currently seeking enough members to establish a quorum and formally constitute as a church.
We are not (and will not be) associated with any of the existing baptist conventions.
Our confession is drawn from the Baptist Faith and Message, the New Hampshire Baptist Confession, the London Baptist Confession, and the Westminster Confession. If you agree with any of those, you should agree with our core doctrines. Read our beliefs.
What we emphasize
We meet weekly on Sundays for worship and study of the scriptures. Preaching is verse-by-verse exegesis. We emphasize the doctrines of grace (TULIP), traditional family and gender roles, separation from the world, and application of moral law.
At a glance
- Doctrine: Reformed, credobaptist
- Denomination: Independent Baptist
- Government: Elders & deacons
- Worship: Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, from the hymnal with acoustic guitar accompaniment
- Bible: English Standard Version is our translation of choice, though other translations are welcome, and we emphasize study of the original languages
