Welcome to Clarkesville Reformed Baptist Church
Planted in 2021, Clarkesville RBC is Habersham County’s premier reformed baptist church. Come worship with us on Sunday morning.
Who we are
Baptist, Reformed and conservative
As a baptist church, we are distinct from non-Baptist churches in that we perform baptisms by submersion of believers in water (as the scriptures teach). We are not affiliated with any denominations or conventions.
As a reformed church, we are distinct from most baptist churches in that we adhere to reformed theology. Reformed theology teaches that humans are totally depraved and undeserving of salvation, but that God has chosen a limited number of humans to be saved regardless. Reformed theology teaches that the entire work of salvation is done by God, not by man (as the scriptures also teach).
Clarkesville RBC is a conservative church. We believe in the inerrancy of the Bible, and we teach the Bible exegetically. In teaching, we emphasize moral living, healthy families, and distinction from the world.
Sunday worship
We gather every Sunday morning for worship and the study of the scriptures.
- Hymns sung from the hymnal with instrumental accompaniment
- Preaching that works verse by verse through the scriptures
- Discussion with the floor opened after the sermon
- Relaxed style: wear whatever you like, so long as it is modest
Our confession
What we believe
Our doctrines are drawn largely from the Baptist Faith and Message, with support from the New Hampshire Baptist Confession, the London Baptist Confession of 1689 and the Westminster Confession. If you can agree with any one of those historic Protestant confessions, you can probably agree with ours.
